Writer Donatella Di Pietrantonio again transports us into the deep complexities that make up the fabric of the family, telling the story of Lucia and her daughter Amanda. Amanda, now so quiet, returned home, to that hamlet near Pescara from which she had wanted to get away. She took one of the last trains before the lockdown and left Milan, the city that made her eyes sparkle. Amanda is different now, however; she has become impenetrable and seems to want only to disappear, lock herself in her room and leave the world outside. She has become fragile, as has her mother Lucia, who feels helpless in the face of that silence. However, there is a bond that holds them close and a secret they cannot ignore: under the Wolf's Tooth, on one of the family's lands, signs of an old campsite remain. A place that many years before was the scene of a terrible event. Lucia was there that night, as was her father, and along with them were the Apennine shepherds, the owners of the campsite, the forest ranger and the police. All except three girls who were reported missing. It would be easy to pretend that the place does not exist, that the secrets remain buried forever. But it is not possible. The mountain is there and part of it belongs to them, too.
