Dory was a more sympathetic character in this movie than in Finding Nemo, where I found her to be really annoying. "Finding Dory" truly found the Dory that I could like as well as a fun story.

I really liked the central theme of family in this movie (biological and found) and I also think it gave good insight into Dory's backstory.

A heartwarming and creative sequel to "Finding Nemo"--I loved the new characters, Becky and Gerald (they are hilarious!), and the otters are adorable!

The only real reason I wanted to see this movie so badly was because it included my favorite animal, sea otters and their scenes were definitely the most adorable of all and obviously my favorite. The film is cute too, but it was a little slow for me and didn't really hold my interest that much. But it's worth seeing if you are a fan of "Nemo".

It's a entertaining movie for the whole family, colourful and with a nice message. The voice acting of baby Dory was fabulous and super well done; you fall in love with this child. However, adult Dory voice was short in conveying her emotions in an authentic way, sometimes it felt Dory was just reading from the script.
It's said second parts aren't better and it's the case with this movie. Finding Nemo was superior from start to end. I don't like to compare but I couldn't help it.

I liked this cartoon aquatic DVD. Part I will be Finding Nemo. Both DVD’s are fast paced. The characters has some depth. The animation was 100% very well done. The music was good. It is good for all ages. Some parts of the story will be scary for the very young. The little fish are scared of the sharks in the story. I am looking forward to the sequel "Finding Dory". Dory has most of the talking in this script. Dory’s character is sweet, innocent, naive and well intentioned. Dory is gullible. Dory makes poor choices that get her and those trying to help her in life threatening trouble. Not only does Dory not use common sense or discretion, she has no memory at all. Dory is constantly forgetting everything. I found myself getting impatient with Dory’s stupidity while she stubbornly persists in pursuing poor solutions which just cause more problems. Her solutions often make things worse. I found myself loosing interest in her story.

Lively 3D animation and vibrant primary colours propel the story briskly enough to avoid boring the small fry (a bucket of dead fish makes for a rather macabre scene however) and the humour is advanced enough to make mom and dad chuckle along—the greedy seagulls are here replaced by a grumpy old octopus, a brain-addled duck (cue indignant letters to Pixar), a mob of cuddly-wuddly otters, and two cockney sea lions. For those so inclined there are tons of animated cameos and tie-ins from "Finding Dory" to "Inside Out" and a scene involving Dory, a nearsighted whale shark, and timid beluga whale will remind older audiences of a similar scene from "Alien". Ellen DeGeneres reprises the title role with her usual comedic timing and the voices of Albert Brooks, Ed O’Neill, and Eugene Levy (among others) provide capable back-up. Of course you’ll have to stay for the closing credits as the Pixar team tosses out a host of funny snippets while Sia sings “Unforgettable”. Awwww!
