Add a CommentAn important, yet uncredited actor in this film is Ma-Nee Chacaby, author of her story, "A Two-spirit Journey :The Autobiography of A Lesbian Ojibwa-Cree Elder" (available at the Ottawa Public Library). I was reading her book when I saw this movie, and recognized her right away. She plays the role of Evie, the elder who helps the community with her caring heart.
Very sad film about the problems of teens on a Canadian reservation. The suicide rates for Native American teens living on reservations is higher than that of contemporaries with different ethnic backgrounds. This movie does show some hope. Recommend with concern about the sadness. Kristi & Abby Tabby
