Amelia Bedelia always finds comical way to misinterpret the directions left for her.
Ex: "please change the towels Amelia" turns into her cutting crazy shapes out of the bath towels to change them instead of replacing or changing them with clean fresh ones like we would assume.
What a joy to read this goofy story in the original picture book format again. I loved seeing the original cover and artwork again. I'm glad Amelia Bedelia has found so much success in the easy reader book format and those current contemporary stories are OK, but the 50th anniversary edition of the original has a whimsical charm and appeal that is just delightful that can't be beat. This edition is just gorgeous and highly recommended.
